Getting startedWhat should I do first?
Add enough gaming context for Glyph to be useful without manually rebuilding your gaming history.Start with the systems you actually use, then add games through connected sources, photo/library-screen import, or the Library. Build Your Glyph once you have some real games in place. The quickest first test is What Should I Play?
Data & sourcesWhat does a source actually tell Glyph?
Different providers can prove different things.Ownership, access, activity, achievements, playtime and identity are separate evidence types. Glyph keeps the provider and confidence attached so an activity signal does not silently become an ownership claim.
Glyph intelligenceWhat is Player State?
Player State is Glyph’s best current, source-aware view of where you are with a game.It can include rotation status, progress anchor, current objective, current location, recent sessions and confidence. Player State is resolved from evidence; generated suggestions do not automatically become confirmed progress.
Glyph intelligenceWhat is the Gaming Graph?
The Gaming Graph joins evidence from fragmented gaming ecosystems around canonical games. It keeps observations from Steam, Xbox, Sony data, Glyph Vision, sessions and manual confirmations connected to the same underlying game while preserving origin and disagreement.
Show GlyphWhat should I use Show Glyph for?
Use a photo or screenshot when showing context is easier than describing it.In Library, Show Glyph can recognise a collection. In Resume, it can suggest where you are. In Get Me Unstuck, a gameplay screenshot can provide immediate obstacle context. Important progress updates still require confirmation before Player State changes.
Ask GlyphWhat are the four Ask Glyph modes?
Choose, Resume, Unstuck and Improve share the same underlying player context.Choose gives two focused library recommendations. Resume creates a spoiler-safe catch-up. Get Me Unstuck uses a three-rung hint ladder. Improve turns supported competitive evidence into one persistent training focus.
TrustWhat do confidence labels mean?
Confidence reflects the strength, freshness and agreement of the evidence Glyph has.A high-confidence state has stronger or corroborated evidence. Medium or low confidence means Glyph should be more cautious, ask for confirmation, or avoid pretending it knows something it does not.
TrustHow does Resume avoid spoilers?
Glyph uses the safest known progress boundary and asks for confirmation when uncertainty matters.Resume is instructed to stay at or behind the current progress anchor. If the boundary is uncertain, Glyph can ask a quick confirmation instead of assuming a later story point.
SessionsWhy start a gaming session through Glyph?
Sessions give Resume, help and progression a shared time/context anchor.A Glyph session can connect progress updates, help requests and a stopping point. Long accidentally-open sessions ask you to confirm real playtime. The timer alone is not treated as strong evidence.
ProgressionWhat is the difference between XP and REP?
XP tracks useful participation and personal Glyph-building habits; REP is community reputation.XP is capped and evidence-aware so repeatedly clicking buttons is a poor levelling strategy. REP remains tied to useful community contributions and recognition rather than personal gaming activity.
PlatformsPlatform providers expose very different levels of authorised data.Steam supports a richer live import. Xbox can provide authorised identity and achievement-related activity. PlayStation currently supports Sony-issued data export evidence while live authorised Sony access remains a strategic target. Nintendo identity is currently limited, so screenshots/photo flows matter more.
PrivacyCan I control social visibility?
Profile, messages and live gaming activity have separate controls.Use Profile Settings to control friend requests, who can message you, who can see live gaming-session activity and related notifications. Blocking overrides these settings.
SocialWhat are focused communities?
Focused spaces sit underneath the main game community. They can represent local scenes, competitive groups, recurring topics or smaller groups. Posts remain linked to the canonical game while the focused community adds membership and moderation context.
TrustWhat if Glyph gets something wrong?
Correct the specific evidence or Player State rather than rebuilding everything.Gaming Glyph is designed around corrections. Confirm or reject recommendations, fix photo-import matches, correct progress, clear carried agent context, and use source-aware evidence so one wrong inference does not overwrite unrelated facts.
